About this deal

I find this striking as the experience of mystics in deep meditation has interested me since some time – thinking by itself does not improve a situation, experiences as a result of deep silence do. Anita Moorjani was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and doctors told her family she was just hours away from death. Anita was not only completely healed of her terminal illness in a rapid rate after her NDE, but also gained remarkable knowledge about our nature as spiritual beings in human/corporeal bodies. Which is a shame because I would have enjoyed talking to people who have been through similar stuff. She speaks of her experience to the Other Side in a new language, or a lexicon which is becoming more polished for those slipping through the veil.

Prior to purchasing this book, I had not seen the PBS TV show in which the author and her NDE were discussed. She works on the premise that our inner world (consciousness) is our primary reality, and if our internal state is healthy and strong, then our external world will align itself and fall into place as a result. As her organs failed, she entered into an extraordinary near-death experience where she would realize her inherent worth and the actual cause of her disease. As a person interested in spirituality, I have read other books that referenced NDEs, so I had some exposure to the concept.I had a hard time with what I went through, and didn't have the I feel adored thing, I have in other experiences in life. Today, Anita is a contemporary activist for love and peace, sharing what she learned on the other side through her videos, books, and speeches. That we should not subscribe to any one dogma and/or religion as it ultimately limits our ability to think openly. Instead, letting go of attachment to any way of believing or thinking has made me feel more expanded and almost transparent so that the universal energy can just flow through me.

Telling the story of how conflicting ideologies, fear and being a downtrodden empath created the cancer that drove her to her NDE, Anita’s chronicle of life and death has won millions of hearts over. After years of struggling to forge her own path while trying to meet everyone else’s expectations, she had the realization – as a result of her epiphany on the other side – that she had the power to heal herself… and that there are miracles in the Universe that she had never even imagined. She was pronounced dead from organ failure and four days later the doctors couldn't find any cancer (from lymphoma) in her body, despite their desperate attempts. Not to provide some new doctrine of existence, but to describe her story, and that each person needs to take their own path with their own cancer and ultimately their lives. The vast majority of advice I’ve gotten from others has ranged from useless to downright harmful, and over the years I’ve learned to ignore the advice of others and to keep my own counsel. Visualizations and exercises for children to release pent up fears and emotions that may be contributing to their illness. Interestingly, during her coma, she went outside of her body and saw every detail, every medical procedure of what the Drs were doing and even the conversations the Drs had down the hall.

And that's okay because that is the nature of personal spiritual experiences: they're for that person and usually for that person alone. A new edition of the inspirational memoir that touched thousands - one woman's journey from cancer and near-death to ultimate healing, spiritual freedom and inner power. Born in Singapore to Indian (Sindhi) parents, raised in Hong Kong between the mixed Indian, British and Chinese cultures, Anita now lives in the United States. The audio, a newer revised version, contained a final bonus chapter not present in the ebook I got from the library, a much older version. Music floods the room with fantastic, kaleidoscopic, surround-sound melodies you’ve never heard before. She is direct and straightforward in her style, yet she does not make the reader feel that she is pushing her views onto you.

Her experience changed her perspective on life and her work is now ingrained with the insights she gained while in the other realm. Because of her background and British education, she is multilingual and grew up speaking English, Cantonese, and an Indian dialect simultaneously. If we simply live in a way that nurtures us and allows us to express our creativity, letting us see our own magnificence, that's the best we can possibly do. It’s also a very good book for all those that have lost a loved one or are fearful of their own passing.
