I’d prefer to think its popularity is because there is something about the fresh cleanliness of the nose, its orange oils, chocolate, and zesty-zingy and yes, occasionally salty spiciness that is instantly appealing.

The spirit for this whisky has been produced the same way since the distillery was founded in the small fishing town of Oban back in 1794. The finish is quick and woody, with a similar aftertastes that you get from having a bowl of skin-on red grapes. I’ve considered beer for those kinds of occasions, too, but it just feels too heavy in the stomach for me, haha!
