It still has an elliptical tip but with a different sonic signature, a little smoother, maybe a little less in your face but still very musical and I never noticed any IGD. The biggest downside with the AT95E is that it can sound a bit boring and boxed-in, whereas the Ortofon 2M Red might become slightly fatiguing in the long run, especially if you have a bright system.

I have not mounted the 95E on the Ittok, but it would be interesting to see how it goes in a better setup. They supply slot-head screws, which are a total menace to fit if you attach them pointing upwards as you are supposed to. For the AT95, I have the original 95E stylus, a 95EX stylus, an LP Gear carbon cantilever stylus (no model number marked on it), and a Black Diamond.
