Freezing weather will increase the set time and will cause the process to virtually stop, it can take many days for the joints to set fully hard. However EASYJoint will eventually set and the weather conditions will not have impaired its integrity in any way. Top Up. Use more EASYJoint to top up any low areas, repeating the washing process as described previously. Paving, Pointing & Grouting We offer a range of pointing and grouting materials for jointing your patio slabs, outdoor paving or driveway including flowable slurry grouts such as UltraScape Flowpoint, brush-in grouts like EasyJoint and gun injected mortar for fine pointing. As well as supplying paving primer, sealants and paving and driveway cleaners.Easyjoint can be used in wet or dry conditions and is sold in a 12.5kg tub which will cover an average of 7m² depending on slab size and joint width. EASYJoint PRO contains a coated sand mixture and a separate activator which require mixing together before use. Ideal for use by both commercial landscapers and domestic home-owners, it’s a really robust, long-lasting paving joint filler. Benefits of EASYJoint Pro Clean out the old jointing product completely to create the correct joint size (see information under the ‘Joints’ section). Do not use EASYJoint if the correct and fully clean joint size cannot be obtained. Similarly, while EASYJoint remains wet, either via the application process or through rainfall, the curing process will be suspended. Prolonged periods of rain, or several intermittent showers will considerably extend the setting times. Again, this will not affect the final integrity of the product in any way provided water can drain easily away and so allow even curing throughout the joints (as previously explained) Why use EASYJoint? In terms of longevity, the jointing compound will last for years if looked after. We recommend when cleaning your patio or driveway that any use of pressure washers is not pointed directly at the joint, so as to not lift or disturb the compound. When using a pressure washer hose, hold it a few feet above the slabs and point the hose at a 45 degree angle. What happens if it rains as I’m using EASYJoint PRO? Smooth the joints: when drained and dried, lightly "point" or "strike" the joints with a suitable finishing tool Work cleanly, clearing both the sand grains and the binding oil from the surface as you go. Keep washing until the “rainbow effect” oily water is no longer evident. Continuously Wash the Paving. The hose operator should alternate between following the sweeper to aid washing the compound into the joints and moving ahead of him/her so that the paving is always wet. This is particularly important in warm/hot weather conditions.

Spray very lightly with water to maintain slurry consistency and aid sand movement. NEVER flood with water at any point during installation as too much water will affect the setting times and final strength of the product. Less water is needed when applying EASYJoint to porcelain paving, as there is little risk of residue staining. You will find that a small amount of water, added to form it into a slurry, will make it easier to fill the joints properly. When applying to porcelain, to ensure an effective joint, the operator MUST strike the joint off, to compact the grout fully. Compaction forces out air and water which helps the joint harden faster. The result of using EASYJoint, to joint your paving, will be a paving gap that is completely filled that will last for years.
